It all began many years ago, when good friends Lindsay Burrows and Marcia Worrell were on holiday in Tunisia. Sitting on the balcony in the late afternoon — with the daily dose of chocolate, beer and some music too cheesy to admit to — they ruminated over why there were so many amazing and talented women who had achieved great things and yet so few of them realised or acknowledged it.
Instead, often fuelled by a lack of confidence and self-belief, the focus seemed to be on perceived inadequacies. This in turn impacted on so many areas of their lives — usually leading to compromise, a lack of fulfilment and, most importantly, limiting true and lasting happiness.
Lindsay chose to leave her role as Head of Buying in a large corporate and set out on a mission: to create a business that would encourage women to celebrate who they are, whilst supporting them to be the very best they can be.
Me Spot was launched in 2011, offering quality services, delivered by women who are not only at the top of their game, but who share the Me Spot ethos, and have the same positive aspirations. They understand the challenges that women face and, whether through exercise, styling or mindset work, they have the proven expertise and knowledge to deliver long lasting and transformational results.
The ethos is joyful: Me Spot is here to make a genuine and lasting difference to the individual lives of women.
One poem sums up perfectly what is at the heart of the Me Spot philosophy. We know that you are all Phenomenal Women… it’s our job to help you to believe it!
